We still want a place of our own — and this summer we’re getting there on tour, bringing the cart to markets, bazaars, and street festivals across the city. Why now

Built by hand — now build it with us.

Good Ol’ Fish Fry has always been a community food project. Backyard parties, pop-ups, private dinners, holiday meals for neighbors who needed one — fine-dining technique on the food we grew up on, served one plate at a time.

We’ve put our own savings on the line to reach for a place of our own in East Harlem. The last stretch — the keys, the kitchen, the first plates out our own door — is the part we want to build with the people who got us here. Become a Founder and you’re not a donor. You’re in early, your name’s on the wall, and your plate is waiting.

The fine print, plainly

Clear and fair.

  • This is a pre-purchase of food and experiences to help us open — not a donation, a loan, or a stake in the business.
  • You redeem after we open. Perks and plate credits become available once we open our doors — we’ll keep founders posted on timing as our plans firm up, and we’ll email you exactly how and when.
  • Your credit doesn’t expire. It stays good until you use it, in line with New York gift-card law.
  • Refunds: a full refund within 14 days at tyrik@goodlooksbyus.com. After that it converts to a founding-member credit. If we’re ever unable to open and deliver, you’re fully refunded.
